WW2 Memorial Cross -died July 8, 1945
A George VI Memorial Cross on silver pin clasp reverse engraved "D.126336 Pte E.C. Lane" and marked sterling. Also with TWO WW2 General Service Lapel pins in silver and an I.D. bracelet engraved to "Pte M.A. LANE, W.40737 C.W.A.C." possibly a sister or wife of Lane? Edward Charles Lane died July 8, 1945 while serving with the 8th Cdn Inf Bde Coy of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He was the son of Annie Lane of Montreal, Quebec. He is buried at Holten Canadian War Cemetery. A nice little RCASC WW2 lot to a lost soldier.
